A store on ebay charges you for postage, you pay it, the seller receives it, and then the store writes the postage cost off as a tax deduction expense on his business. The store not only gets the full cost of postage but also gets double credit when it becomes an expense on his taxes. That is just plain wrong! For this reason I have always kept my postage costs to a minimum figure (standard for all) realizing that I receive the benefit of the tax deduction for what I actually paid to mail the item.

"and then the store writes the postage cost off as a tax deduction expense on his business"
How do you know this?
