Avoid this Seller!

My dear friend, who is honest beyond reproach, had purchased an online World of Warcraft virtual item in the form of a code from a seller , who had a 100% rating.

However the code was invalid and verified by an online Blizzard representative, who confirmed that it was a non-functioning code.

Paypal is siding with seller in not refunding her money and it's a disgrace in my opinion.

Beware of  an untrustworthy merchant.

Digital items are not covered by paypal protection.

If she paid with a credit card then she can try to do

a chargeback by phoning the 1_800 number on the back of the card.

If doing a chargeback have all information there to give the represenative

If she didn't use a credit card she is out of luck.

If the seller won't make it right then your friend should leave appropriate feedback.

ZOMBIE THREAD FROM 2014

The problem with zombie threads is that the information may be out of date and incorrect.

@happy_pigeon

I bought hair color sticks on 28 dec2017. After67 DAYS no item arrived. He promised refund but DIDN'T till now.

EBay extends Buyer Protection for 30 days after the last estimated date for delivery.

If that date has passed and 30 more, you are past the eBay deadline.

DON'T PANIC!

You are still covered by Paypal's Buyer Protection.

PP allows 180 days from PAYMENT  for Disputes and Claims.

So you have until May to get your money back.

The PP Resolution Centre is at the top of your PP account page under Tools.

You will need the PP transaction number from your payment.

Open an Item Not Received Dispute.

The first suggestion is to Contact the Seller.

You already did that, so ask PP to step in and Escalate to a Claim.

If the seller cannot prove delivery (not shipping, delivery) you will be refunded.
