BUYER AOL has a 550 MAILBOX NOT FOUND

I have been trying to email a buyer but it does not work. I tried through EBAY (ASK A QUESTION) but it still does not work. His AOL account appears to be dead?
He is still buying and paying right away. He has a mint record and it does not make sence. I will not call him in NY as it will cost me a few bucks at least and the item is only worth 6$. I emailed ebay to find out what to do. I even sent a reminder through paypal (bill) but no response. What to do?

Well, eBay would tell you to use the correct form, and report the member as having an invalid email address. Usually within 24 hours they will be NARU (banned).

As for what you should REALLY do... if you feel comfortable dealing with someone you can't contact, and eBay could ban at any time, then go for it. Myself, I'm very wary of this kind of buyer, and tend to get them NARUd. They can't retaliate with feedback if that happens, so you have nothing to fear other than wasting a bit of your time.

I'd pull the info (sounds like you already have) and call him. Long distance to the US isn't that much (.10 minute from here)

AOL seems to block a lot of emails in their attempt to control spam. Perhaps your buyer is not getting the messages. Some AOL customers notch up the spam filter to HIGH and that could be your problem. Your ISP is blocked. Try using an alternate account. Try www.mootropolis.com, they have a webbased email service that is at the moment not blocked by AOL.
