Back to square one

This is my situation.

I got 4 low DSR already on shipping, so I want to protect it by absorb partial shipping cost in my asking price. By doing so my items seem more expensive than my competitor eventhough for total price (price+shipping) mine is still better deal.

But  my sale becoming very slow since I started it. Well still too early to judge. Today is the 10th day.

How long should I stay and say absorb shipping cost on asking price do not work for me?

Need advice from advance seller about my situation.

"absorb partial shipping cost in my asking price"

What does that mean?

What are your average gross margins?

For example, if you absorb $1 on a $15 item, it reduces your margin by 7%.  If your cost is $5, you are OK.  If your cost is $12, you should find something else to occupy your time!

"seem more expensive than my competitor"

Are your competitors selling the same products, similar products? better quality products? inferior quality products?

Re: Back to square one

One of my product that have a good sale records are sold by couple competitor .  I guess we got from same source.

My other products is similar with that one but so far I havenot seen others sell it, used to have good sale record too.

I give free shipping for domestic, and absorb $1 for international shipping.

My competitor put their price $12.5 + $6 shipping (ship from ASIA).

I put my price $13.99 (free shipping for Canadian, $2 for US and $4 for the rest).

Re: Back to square one

There is nothing wrong with your pricing structure - it may be a bit low when compared to your competitors, but that is your choice.

Good Luck.
