Betty Boop Porcelain Doll holding an Umbrella

I bought the Betty Boop Porcelian Doll holding an umbrella through E-Bay on my PayPal Account..  The seller sent me an e-mail did I still want it because it has a chip on the hand that holds the umbrella.  I said if it is too badly chipped I wouldn't want it.  Also would the price be cheaper because of the damage if it wasn't too bad.

That's reasonable.

Ask for a picture of the damage.

If you don't want to continue with the transaction, ask her for a Mutual Cancellation. She should then refund any money you have paid, and then send you the Request for an MC.

Agree immediately. This releases you both from the transaction, gives her selling fees back and both of you can leave feedback.

I'd suggest something like, 'Good communication that corrected a potential problem. Thanks.'

It's a little difficult for a seller to change the selling price of an item after the auction ends.

But if she goes through the Mutual Cancellation then she can open a new Buy It Now listing using the adjusted price, and correcting the description to note the chip.

I find it best to use the customer's name as the title, since that is harder for a random Search to find, keeping the deal private.
