Nonsense.
If you take the time to check what other stamp sellers are doing, you will notice many have problems maintaining high DSRs.
Adequate and accurate descriptions have nothing to do with the products you sell.
Superior communication with your buyers has nothing to do with the products you sell.
Quick (within 24 hours) shipment of your products has nothing to do with the products you sell.
Cost of shipping will depend to a large extent to the products you sell. Not all products are meant to be sold by mail.
Please stop minimizing other sellers efforts in providing superior service. You may wish to imitate what they do to improve your customer satisfaction level. .

It is! Good place to be. We see differently from up here, things not visible from the ground 😉

Give absolutely accurate descriptions.
Get the mail out on time.
Charge less than ACTUAL cost of posting.
ANSWER ALL e-Mails-
AND IN THE END-
NOTHING MATTERS !!!
The simple bias of the questions eBay asks buyers-
think about it- just look at some of the options:
What exactly is a description that is "neither inaccurate- not accurate"?
How does one ship-"neither slowly nor quickly"?
ISN'T the perception of delivery time vis a vis the buyer's purchase/payment date more relevant? How many buyers look at the POSTMARK?
When offering FREE SHIPPING- some buyers don't even comment on SHIPPING CHARGES- as there were none.
SO, IN THE END, don't give up- JUST CARE LESS about eBay's nonsense. As for the end result, NOTHING YOU DO MATTERS !!!

What are your customers going to complain about:
- not enough glue on back of the stamp
- bad tasting glue on the back of the stamp
- back of stamp already used
I'm glad that your are doing well and I am sure you go out of your way to service to clients and all.
Just don't pretend to know what others are going through without first experiencing it for yourself.
You have not a clue as to our business model nor anyone elses for that matter.
Why do you think so many sellers on here are complaining and soforth about the recent happenings on ebay - do you think it is because we are all bad sellers or sellers that give bad support or sell bad products?
Time to lower you nose and aim your eyes back to earth again - your heads been above the clouds way too long and it looks like the lack of oxygen is getting to you.

I modestly agree that our feedback, and DSR are at the top of the scale- as all exceed eBay's overall seller performance.
HOWEVER- happy customers are a good thing.
Repeat customers are a good thing.
Possibly having money in the bank, and little debt is a good thing.
HOWEVER- getting hung up on eBay's saveur du jour is absurd.
These DSR are just numbers- with little if any meaning.
They may have some economic impact by way of a discount- but little else.
TOO many sellers have lost sight of this.
Just look at the 'fools' following eBay's advice on raising their DSR's by offering FREE SHIPPING. And- as a result actually saw their DSR's FALL !!!
As if eBay has anything- or should have anything, other than its own economic self interest in mind. eBay is legally only concerned with how IT makes money. We as sellers DO NOT MATTER to eBay- nor should we according to the models of governance that eBay under. Nothing will change this. So anyone here, and elsewhere can whine and complain about what eBay is doing to THEM. TELL eBay how to make MORE MONEY- and rest assured someone will listen. That's what corporations are obligated to do.
So- that's my point from the perspective as a seller-
NOTHING MATTERS !!!
Be happy, be healthy- have fun- and stop worrying about this DSR nonsense. When the NEW system reveals itself at some point in the future- and rest assured that it will- the focus will be on it-0 and these petty little musing over the minutiae of DSR's and FB will be none but a distant memory!

What makes you think that you are the only one who provides superior service? ?????????? Because of your DSR rating?
Lets go one step further.
Seller description: I provide at least ONE clear picture of every item I sell and often more along with my description. My description is very basic, factual, without any puffing. What more do you do?
Communication: I answer every email same day as received, (even on Christmas, my birthday, my kids birthdays, when I am sick, on holidays, etc). I also send email the same day as purchase to thank customer for the purchase and tell them how and when their item will be shipped. What more do you do?
Shipping time: If I get paid by 2 P.M. in the afternoon, I ship the same day providing the post office is open. What more do you do?
Shipping cost: You charge $2 per shipment and considering that you only have to stick it in a regular envelope, lick the flap and stick a first class sticker on, you actually make money on shipping. I charge much less than actual cost. I just mailed a piece of crystal to Australia. I charged $33.50 with insurance and it cost $85 to ship and that does not include cost of 10 x 10 x 10 box, bubble wrap & styrofoam chips, plus compensation for my 20 minutes of labor. I don't take that much of a loss on everything but I loose atleast $2.00 on every order which would be the equivalent of you shipping for FREE.
Imitate you? I could never be so pompous or gloat that I have gained advantage over my fellow man.

Some of my item are very heavy(i.e. cost $30-50 to ship). Even it is the actual shipping cost that is printed on the parcel, buyer will think shipping cost is expensive and rate me 4 stars rather than 5 stars... I never try to earn money on shipping charge but buyers think $30 shipping doesn't worth to rate me 5 stars.
I hope ebay notice this problem. I had no problem to maintain an overall 4.5, but just the shipping charge itself for 4.5 is hard for me. Not every buyer will rate a $30 shipping item 5 stars even it is the actual shipping cost.

A discussion Forum is exactly where people can come and whine or what ever else they want to say. We have freedom of speech on both sides of the border. Furthermore, if you don't like it leave. This is supposed to be a place that someone can come in and say what they have to say, or ask what they want to ask and not be attacked. Frankly I'm getting really tired of people like you. Quit being so judgemental of everyone or are you really being judgemental of yourself. Happy & Self Assured people do not attack others because of what the others say. They listen. Remember, if you can't say something nice, say nothing at all. If you don't like the whining-leave.
And with that y'all have a wonderful day and come in here and complain all ya want.

Can you please acknowledge that you have read and understand our plea?
please pass our message on.
perhaps a message to buyers on the screen where they enter how good our service is saying something like:
"where did your seller ship from? please give a rating of how good the shipping time was Please consider the delays in shipping that may be a result from crossing borders or traveling long distances"
although we may clearly say in our item descriptions, "hey, its coming from Canada, it could take a bit longer"
the buyers don't remember that when they are giving feedback. I'm pretty sure in most cases they don't read the item description ever again after purchasing.
Canadian sellers bring eBay and PayPal Lots of profit, especially due to the 1.5ish Percent fee PayPal charges to convert USD$ to Canadian dollars; as most Canadians sell in USD because its more attractive to shoppers.
Once again EBAY please acknowledge that you have read and understand our plea!!!!
pass it on to the higher powers!

I believe that the DSR for shipping time IS SUPPOSED TO BE how fast YOU, the seller, get the item to the post office...not how long it takes to get from Point A to Point B. That is where a lot of the confusion with that DSR begins and ends.
Just my thoughts,
Susan
