Looks like Ebay is going to ignore the conditions Canadian power sellers face regarding shipping costs and shipping times. As any Canadian seller knows we pay through he nose to use Canada Post compared to fees our American counterparts pay for USPS. In addition shipping times take longer for most packages because they have to cross the border (If you are like me 99% of your sales are USA bound). As a result DTR ratings in shipping time and cost categories are lower for most Canadian power sellers. For example my feedback rating is 99.2% my DTR ratings for item as described and communication are around 4.8-4.9 but my DTR ratings for shipping cost and time are 4.2-4.3 As an average I fall above the 4.5 DTR requirement but as individual categories I fall short on two of them. This has had two effects on my store... #1 I am not qualified to take part in the 1 cent listing sale and in July new rules take effect that say sellers with a lower than 4.5 DTR rating in any category will lose their power seller status!!!! HOW IS THIS FAIR TO CANADIAN POWER SELLERS?

I WELCOME ANY HELP, ADVICE OR CORRECTION TO THESE UNFAIR RULES! AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED N THE LOSS OF OUR FEEDBACK RIGHTS THERE GOES THE RATINGS THERE AS WELL BECAUSE BUYERS CAN LEAVE WHATEVER THEY WANT WITHOUT FEAR OF REPRECUSSION FOR UNFAIR TREATMENT TO SELLERS.

that is the way it should be regarded but it is not, the buyers do not recognize the fact that larger parcels take time to work their way through the system momo, paypal does though, coverage is only granted if postmarked within a week of sale from the way i understand the buyer protection and seller protection programs. most of my items make it to the post office 48-72 hours after payment is receved but my dsr does not reflect that.

For sure, BUYERS, do not understand the meaning of the shipping time DSR. The information provided to buyers needs to be improved and perhaps over time if constructive complaints are made to eBay, it will happen.

Until then, I believe that we will all have to educate our buyers. It doesn't help a lot, but it's better than nothing.

I understand that buyers will think 4 stars is still a good rating. From the point of view of buyers, it is actually slower and more expensive than USA sellers. They didn't understand we've do our best and only charged actual shipping cost. And of course, they will never know there's a big different between 4 and 5.

I dont see how a newer PS like myself can get to the point of being established. The newer members will be wiped out quickly I felt better before, now everything seems absolutely stressful. I have given my buyers 100% of what I've got I tried shipping for free for 3 weeks to bring up my DSR yet I've got the worst report card in the past 30 days than ever. I sell to alot of sellers so I dont know if Im just getting a shoeprint in my pants from "friendly competition" I am 1 neg away from not even being able to look reputable yet I had a 100% feedback score for over 2 years. 99.7 until May 19th now 98.3 with 1 UID (with a promise to pay by Friday) & 1 Chargeback hanging over my head I doubt either will give me a positive. I was enjoying Ebay I was excited everyday and now I am completely deflated & defeated.
This whole PS thing is just not half as exciting as it was the day I got the nice little logo. Every sale is now a stressful sale as I watch my competition getting slammed with NEG's even when packages are claimed as not rec'd and they get full refunds. There is a NO MERCY rule no room for error No possibility of correction & no understanding of how long CP can take No respect for a sellers reputation & no room for the smaller sellers. + no time to sell as I'm too busy going through others FB and building my BBL one by one.

My advice? Stop doing this and put that energy into making your business thrive.

My BBL is less than 20 long, from buyers that did not pay (in over 2,500 transactions).
