A MATHEMATICAL discovery by Perth-based electrical engineer Dr David Evans may change everything about the climate debate, on the eve of the UN climate change conference in Paris next month.
A former climate modeller for the Government’s Australian Greenhouse Office, with six degrees in applied mathematics, Dr Evans has unpacked the architecture of the basic climate model which underpins all climate science.
He has found that, while the underlying physics of the model is correct, it had been applied incorrectly.
He has fixed two errors and the new corrected model finds the climate’s sensitivity to carbon dioxide (CO2) is much lower than was thought.

Why this stuff? You realize how fast people can search these crackpot people and find descriptors such as "a number of long-debunked myths and gross misunderstandings of basic climate science"? Not to mention, "News.com.au is an Australian news and entertainment website owned by News Corp Australia". Come on.

Good points, Pierre + owlgebra.
But there is a method to this madness, even when it is so easily dismissed.
Remember the last big climate shindig in Copenhagen a few years back?
Something like a week or two before it started the oil-sponsored corporate media leveraged a couple of casual errors in scientists' emails into "Climategate", in which for a short period it was as if all climate change science was cast into doubt.
In retrospect it was a total non-issue and one of the biggest red herrings in history.
But it was sufficient to completely knock the Copenhagen conference off message and into turm-OIL and set the sustainable energy movement back probably 5 years if not more.
