CP increases in '04

I've heard that the stamps are going up from .48 to .49 and .65 to .80 for the US, but after looking at their website, I'm unable to find a press release or anything else that details all of the price increases.

Does anyone know where to find this info?

I searched canadapost.ca as well ... nothing. Its strange since its been in the newspaper and people have known about it for a while now. If you're a business customer you should get something in the mail giving all the new pricing.

80c to mail to the US? Wow. A 23% increase, just like that. Everything I ship is done by envelope, and 90% of my customers are in the US. This doesn't sound good for me!

And the US mail had already gone up almost 10% last year too.

I think their website is terrible - I can rarely find what I need on it 😞 Maybe they should spend some of that increase on a useful website!

I know this thread has died away, but I wanted to bring it back just to let people know that I did a search on google.com for "canada post rate increase" and came up with this webpage:
