Can I purchase if the seller does not ship to my country, but I have an address in their country I can use?

There are several items selling through the ebay.co.uk site that I desperately want. I am in Canada, and the seller only ships within the UK.

I have family in the UK, whom I could have the items shipped to, however I would still need to purchase them.

Is this possible? My billing information will be my Canadian information.

Would I just add in a note to the seller that I have a UK address for shipping?

Has anyone else done this?

Thanks.

The seller can agree to this if he wants to,but don't be surprised if he refuses. Sellers lose their seller protection if they ship to any address other than your registered shipping address. All you can do is ask,if the seller refuses, move on to a seller who is willing to ship to Canada. Have you tried asking if the seller would be willing to ship to you in Canada.

Ask BEFORE bidding. The seller has the right to refuse or cancel any bids that she does not want to accept.

Communication that is friendly and forthright is always the best bet.

Mind you, I'd be asking my relations for their permission too. How will you repay them for the trans-shipment of the parcel? FWIW, I have used PP from time to time to transfer money easily to family members.
