Hi. I am getting mixed messages when looking for info on this. I am in Canada and I am wondering what the policy is for selling rifle scopes or holsters on eBay. Can I only sell these in Canada? not is US? .. There are tonnes of scopes on ebay.com from American sellers.
Can someone help me with this.
Thank you very much.

The laws for anything to do with the sale of firearms....
Rifles, handguns, or any kind of firearms is very much different in the US than Canada.
It is best not to list what you want to sell.... the regulations for internet sales are not too clear....
Trying to sell something in support of firearms is questionable on the internet...
and crossing any border just might make things very difficult.
It does not take much for the RCMP to get involved..... If you sell a holster... the RCMP might ask ....What did you do with the handgun that went with the holster... handguns are a restricted firearm in Canada... License required..
Where did the scope come from? another question the RCMP might ask....A license, a PAL (Possession and Acquisition License ) required for the rife/long gun associated with the scope.....
And this is all based on my experience at a local auction house that regularly sells firearms and accessories.... At auction.

Review the Firearms policy
http://pages.ebay.ca/help/policies/firearms-weapons-knives.html (expand the firearms section)
The US version

My quick interpretation, holsters & scopes, you can list on .ca only but offer shipping to the USA (not 100% on that last part).

Follow the listing guidlines detailed at the links.

Most likely the safest thing to do.
