Canada Post and should we unite to complain about ship costs & times

I know I know. The only company I deal with that is more Draconian than eBay is Canada Post, a horrible track record of leakage, over charges and poor service. I am posting here because I would like to know if there is a number or bureau that us, the CANADIAN powersellers can unite and all contact the same people to try to relay that the ship costs, but more importantly, the ship times to the USA and many other countries is unacceptable.

Any suggestions?

I live 1 hour from the Vermont border and I can ship to the UK and sometimes even Australia faster than Vermont. I ship mainly letter mail and light packet as with small collectibles I cannot charge the ridiculous parcel fees for a trading card.....My Ship Time DSR is 4.6 and I ship M to F!

I have found CP to be quite reliable, inexpensive (OK, "light" shipments within Canada are expensive because there is no light packet rate) and very accommodating in regards to claims, refunds, etc. At least you get the "expedited" upgrade @ N/C.

I take that you are referring to CA vs. US costs?

On a global scale CP must rate amongst the world's lowest for costs.

My packages generally get delivered quicker to most parts of the world than to USA but, don't forget, once across the border it's USPS that looks after delivery.

Given, I rarely ship anything over 500gr.

Yes, send your letter of complaint to the US Border Services, they are most likely the ones causing the delays. You state that shipping to the UK or Australia is fast, do you not give Canada Post any credit for this?

As Xena points out, if you compare Canada Post rates to those of most other countries other than the USA they are reasonably competitive, a little more than some and a little less than others.
