This is extremely annoying. Buyers are free to leave negative feedback for sellers, but a seller cannot leave negative feedback when a buyer does not pay.
Don't reply with any of that BS file a non paying bidder **bleep**. That doesn't work and it doesn't do anything. When I have a bad buyer, negative feedback is the best way to deal with it.

They were from problem buyers, as bad or even much worse actually than the example here. I left non-confrontational responses to the neg/neutral and followed the ebay process to report the buyer when appropriate. Apparently other sellers must have reported them as well, because they were NARU'd and along with that, away went the negatives/neutrals from my feedback too. I did not have to do anything extra, I didn't call eBay to ask for anything to be removed, it naturally was removed as the process unfolded. Unfortunately patience is required as the neg/neutrals were there for a few months before the buyer did enough bad things to get zapped.... but ultimately they were removed.
My own belief is that following the reporting process is more effective in protecting other sellers than placing comments in feedback, and it avoids the possible loss of potential customers who happen to read negativity from the original comment, however that is simply my opinion...
You cannot have negative feedback removed simply because a buyer was rude with you. The item in question that happened here was damaged in the mail (according to the buyer. He never provided me with any photos, was rude in his replies when I asked him about the item and to provide me with info. Again, even after offering him a full refund, he refused and left negative feedback, which I was then told I could do nothing about by ebay.
My recourse to let other sellers know, was my reply to his feedback (since I cannot leave anything besides positive for him).
There are plenty of bad buyers, several of which I have had to deal with, mostly non paying buyers.

I agree, you certainly are, but if you are done derailing the thread stop commenting, you aren't adding anything to the original discussion, you are diverting it.

Hi Cyber, I might be wrong but I believe some of the options under reporting a buyer reference unreasonable demands etc. Certainly in some cases there isn't an option to pick but when there is one, it is important to do it.
I may have been confusing, none of the removed feedbacks of mine were removed because of my reporting the buyer, but the cumulative effect of a number of sellers reporting them (or so I believe) so that their IDs were cancelled. Being NARU'd seems to also zap the feedbacks they left....and being NARU'd means they won't be buying from other sellers, at least under that ID.
I'll remember that, thank you very much.

In the vast ocean of eBay feedback. Does it really matter that he called some jackass an ass?!
If this seller has the item that you really want at a reasonable price. Are you really going to pass on it because he deservingly called one person an ass. Well, I'm honest enough to say, No! So what! His small little venting is not the issue here. It got a little sidetracked!!!
