Case closed by Paypal within 24 hours with NO resolution???

I had a seller ship something to me that may have ended up going to someone else in my community because my full address was not on the package. The person that got it called me and made arrangements to bring it by today so I could confirm it was the Ebay package and not a few others I was expecting from other non-Ebay sources. But she is a no show, so far.

In the resolution center I added this and said that I would close the case, if it was, in fact, my package. Today, I went in to check on the status of my claim and it has been closed!

I still don't have my package..and may never get it!!! And I am out the money, of course. The seller takes no responsibility and tells me I have to contact Kentucky where the Global Shipping is done because the trace says it arrived here. Maybe it DID but I don't have it!!!

What do I do now????

I hate the way Ebay is now. No accountability at all. Why was my case closed?????????????????????

Re: Case closed by Paypal within 24 hours with NO resolution???

First, take responsibility for putting the wrong address in your Paypal address. Correct it now. If it was a transcription error by the seller handwriting an address, rather than printing a label through PP, the error is hers, not yours.

Second, take responsiblity for picking up the package instead of making a complete stranger go out of her way to drop it off. Phone her and make arrangements to go to her.

There was no reason to inform PP of the possible solution to the problem until it was solved, but you may be able to re-open the case by going to the PAYPAL Customer Service and explaining the problem.

Do this only after you have gone to pick up the parcel, and been sent away empty handed, of course.

If the parcel never reaches you, and PP is not helpful, you can go to the 1-800 number on the credit card you paid with, processed by Paypal, and ask about a chargeback.
