Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised to see the $Cdn float downward even further.  I recall the days when it was around $0.73 US.  This wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if Canada can re-boot its manufacturing sector.

For me personally, every drop in the $Cdn buys me more time on eBay and a reprieve from the annual Canada Post increases (I list and sell only in $US).

Yes I'm the backwards guy in my peers group because I'm cheering the dollar dropping!

My friends don't like the added cost of travelling or staying or shopping in the USA, but for those of us who get paid in US$ it is great!

PS Cumos it really is 1.27 to 1.31 after one takes out the 2% they ding us to convert the $$$ to Canadian again.... 😞

Today....My exchange rate for a cash transfer from Paypal to my personal account was 1.29552... after Paypal's percentage

For all transfers out of Paypal since January 1, 2015,  the overall exchange rate is 1.23225.

All of my listings have been adjusted in relation to the exchange rate... early in 2015,,,   when  it was $1.25

and then... more recently.... when it was $1.33

and buyers keep buying

"All the more reason to list in USD"

How true. This will unfortunately make it harder for Canadians to buy our stuff, but I would rather cater to the 350 + million americans than to 35 million Canadian market.

I wonder if something like this will kill Ebay.ca?
