When you buy gold or silver and it said clad? does that mean its worth money for resale or just a collectable.

There is virtually no value to it,the silver or gold plating is so thin that you would need a wheelbarrow full to refine the silver or gold.I see so manny people bidding on this junk,trust me its a bad joke,do not buy it

There are a few technical differences between plated, clad and filled items, but basically they all mean there is a wash of precious metal over a base metal item.
Buy it only for pretty, not for value.
And while we're at it, Tibetan silver contains NO silver.

Neither does nickel silver, German silver or Navajo silver. Unless you are sure of the seller don't even trust a sterling or 925 mark. Certain Asian countries have no compunction for stamping a piece sterling or 925 when in fact it can be a dangerous as plated lead!
Real sterling should be heaver than fake or plated but lead and other heavy metals can be covered in plate and weigh about the same.
It is the same old story, if sounds to good to be true.......
