DSR below 4.8 because of one buyer! How much money will I lose?

Just got a "positive" feedback" and my DSR changed from 4.8 to 4.7 for S/H and S time. I don't need to add, that I shipped the item immediately after I got the payment and I did't charge anything for handling. Welcome on NEW EBAY!!!! 😉 New era begins!!!!

Ahhhh, I believe in next month's world that would cost you 10% of your total FVFs.

I am sure! So I put the buyer on my blocked buyers list.
Am I a first (?) PowerSeller putting on black list a customer, who left a POSITIVE feedback? Will such Ebay survive ? 😉

Maybe NOTHING, If you were at 4.751 and received a 4 rating which caused you to fall to 4.749 then it will only take a very few 5's to get you back to 4.8

It's possible however that there are other older 4's which have brought you to the tipping point. Since these older ratings will not be used in the discount qualification formulae you may still qualify as it is. If you don't at least you know that next month you have a clean slate.

By the way, have you calculated what that extra 10% discount on FVF's is going to save you?

You blocked a good paying customer because they may have left you a 4 instead of a 5 in one dsr category?

Huh, of course!

I don't know exactly, but this 10 USD sale (- PayPal fee) will (in theory) cost me about 50 dollars 😉
Would you sell again ?? 😉 Look, we should start to block not for negatives now, but for BAD DSR'S. Because of a negative comment you will not lose money. If you get a "happy customer" Read
my older thread
you will!!! Point 😉

Will you really pay $500 in FVF's in an average month? Remember that the discount does not apply to any type of listing fees.

No, I just checked my Ebay fees (all together).
But the amount is not a problem - 30 dollars less or more... who cares. The problem is, that I lose the control over my business... more and more .... I am angry, I am disappointed.....

You only "lose" control if you let it go.

The problem is that a buyer who leaves 4's is giving positive DSR's. There are no negative remarks in the 4 category. The seller doesn't know the impact it may cause by leaving 4's. They thing they're leaving positive numbers. This is not the fault of the buyer, it's ebay that set up the system very poorly. I don't think a buyer should be blocked for saying things were reasonable. ebay should explain the numbers to the buyers in a way that they understand that a 4 could possibly hurt a sellers reputation.
