Didn't receive item

I bought an item Sept. 14 which I paid for promptly, and the buyer shipped quickly by USPS 1st class International. (U.S. seller, I'm in Canada) I was given a tracking number showing it was mailed, but now it's Oct. 25 and it still hasn't arrived.

Obviously it's been lost in the mail.

This is not the sellers fault. I advised the seller  a week ago that I haven't received my item yet and I suggested it might be stuck in customs. The seller agreed that was probably the case.

I had hoped it would still arrive but now have given up. What should I do?

At this point, ask for a refund. You have 45 days to file a claim with paypal.  Do not go past the deadline.

Hi bigbearsbye.. It doesn't really matter what the reason. You are approaching the cut off to file and protect your payment.

Go to the resolution center in your PayPal account and open an item not received dispute. Should file no later than day 43 from payment date.

Seller should refund but none in a couple of days , escalate to a claim. Do not close unless item arrives satisfactorily.

If item arrives after refund , repay seller.

Drop a note and and let seller know you will repay.

USPS First Class International does not have tracking numbers. Global Priority has tracking numbers, but the cost starts around $20 to $25.

Than might be a customs number, on an invoice number.

But all that is irrelevant. Ask the seller for your money back. If he does not refund promptly, say within 24 hours, start an Item Not Received claim with Paypal.
