Today, after the forth call, I was forced to file a report to the CRTC against ADT Security. They have been told each time that we are not interested in purchasing their garbage with its extremely expensive monitoring.
ADT has been fined for harassing people on the list.

The Canadian "Do Not Call List" for me anyway is a complete JOKE (obviously I'm on it). I know many people have problems, but my goodness, I seem to have been singled out by them all. In the last few months I must admit it's slowed down a bit....but at one point I was getting calls every single day, more than one (really). I phoned my phone provider (Telus) and we were on the phone for AGES, I had written down every single call, time, what was shown on the caller ID - everything and she took everything down. Was getting calls from all provinces in Canada, most states in U.S. and all over the Globe! - sometimes at 9:00 p.m. At first I wasn't answering, them sometimes I did and because some, not many had an option to press a # to say take me off the list. Everything from "We can help your credit" - Excuse me I don't have debt and have a good credit rating to Hi, YOU'VE WON A TRIP - press xxx to redeem! Was getting a lot of scam ones from overseas sometimes saying without even a PLEASE (LOL) - "Go to your computer, etc." - they got a piece of my mind.
Yes, it has slowed down for some reason, but it's a program that never worked (for me anyway!)

I wont answer calls that come through my phone with unknown number or just the phone number .
I get about 5 to 10 or so of them a week Do check the numbers on the computer sites at times when given and most times they they show they are from companies that are soliciting something or dont show up as anything
Figure if they are legit calls and they need to get ahold of me a message will be left If a message comes through and I can identify what it is about and needs my attention I will answer
Used to get alot more before the Do Not Call List though I agree this list is a joke
Guess it depends where you are how many you get. The calls I get are a drop in the bucket. Have a friend whose parents live in Toronto and they receive alot of them to the point it's harrassment

The store I was in was owned by a friend
For about a week a telephone solicitor kept calling wanting to speak to him
I knew it was solicitation so I kept putting him off
On Saturday my friend was with a customer and this fellow called agian
Asked for Mr M
I said in a very upset voice I am sorry he passed away last night with no warning We are only in here trying to figure out what to do with outstanding deals
heard alot of apologies and never heard from him again
My friend was just outside the door and popped his head in saying what?
Told him not to worry I explained to him he was dead so no need to worry about it
My friend went on with the transaction he was doing and a day or so later asked me what that call was all about

I explained to him he was dead so no need to worry about it
That was good.
Reminds me of a call I had a couple of years ago, a customer and I knew the name...........but............I was told a few years ago he was dead.......seriously, I was told he was shot and killed on a trip to Serbia. So I asked him "are you __ who worked at ___" and he said yes. I laughed and told him that I was told he was dead and he replied..."well I got better".

Great story!! so great that it is part of a comedy skit that a radio station did about 5 years ago. I am sure you could find it on youtube.
in FACT I am sure that's where you came up with it!!!
next time please try for original material http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvJQxgtJW94

Because the callers are not actually online when the call is picked up, I just answer (with our family name- I don't hold with an anonymous "hello?') and count to three.
No immediate response? Hang up.
Of course, when the child calls, her normal greeting is "Mum? MUM! Don't hang up!"

No I didn't borrow it from a radio show, I borrowed the idea from an email I got from someone a couple of years ago and decided to give it a try.
Do I have to give an explanation to you about everything I do? I made a sign last week for a shed out back and I got the idea from a sign I found on the internet. My wife baked some cookies last week a recipe she found in a book her mother use to own. I made a new 30-30 leather rifle sheath for my saddle last fall and I got the idea from an Arizona Native design.
You seem to get some sort of immature joy out of following me around and picking apart nearly everything I say. You try and instigate confrontations for your own amusement and many times, especially in the past you have destroyed threads with your childish attacks. Why don't you try something new, like growing up for once.

just call out when I see it. Just seems to happen with you more often than with others for some reason. !
