Dunn and Bradstreet making the calls again...

Just a heads up for those with a CP account. D&B has started making their annual calls again to update their directory. #@$^#@*& idiot called at 7:00 AM on my only day off in 2 weeks.

I got one of those calls - he asked for me by my ebay name, and I said huhhhh???? Finally I realized what he was saying, and hung up.

7:00 AM? Nobody calls me at 7am and lives to tell the tale. :^O

I turn the ringer off on the phone! I'm usually just dozing off at 7am or later. Wake me? I think not!! CLICK! Cordless phones suck in that way though. You can't slam them down. No matter how hard you press the button, it all sounds the same. LOL :p

What is Dunn & Bradsteet exactly ? And why would they call at 7 am ?

D&B is a credit reporting / business rating agency which deals only with businesses not individuals.

If you are not looking to obtain large amounts of credit from suppliers there is little need to talk to them.

7:00am is a bit early, perhaps it's a time zone issue as they don't usually call before 9:00am

they called TWICE last week at 8:00AM - two days in a row!! Couldn't believe they had the nerve to call back the next day after my telling them the first time that they woke us up and who the heck calls at 8:00 am??
will they keep calling until I answer their stupid confirmation questions? 🙂 Gail

I was wondering why the heck they were calling me. I didn't get a call first thing in the morning but they've been calling frequently over the past couple of months. I only got them on the phone once and they asked me if I own a corporate business, I said no..they said they would remove me from their list but that has yet to happen.

I tell them all my info is with Equfax and they are welcome to contact them

They usually reply , we are just like Equfax ??

My reply "why would I need you when 90% of the companies do a credit check with equafax".

Also I do not give personal info onver the phone

That's ALL I say to them - "I don't give personal info over the phone!" They usually just respond with "well, thanks for your time" and hang up.

Best of it is, it's true - especially when "private name, private number" shows on the call display! How the heck do I know they are who they say they are?
