EBAY BILLING ERRORS - 5 DAYS & STILL NOT FIXED

Has anyone noticed the billing errors ebay has been having since last Thursday?

I received a telephone call from my Powerseller CSR 1-1/2 week ago and was told of some changes on billing that I would not like but was just giving me a heads up.

After seeing the error, which has inflated my actual total six times, it is of great concern.

The timing of that telephone call with the recent errors , which billing csr say is temporary, does seem strange.

I can understand 1 or 2 days of working on a problem. But this error is now 5 days old and not a single mention of it in the Announcements section for ebay.com or ebay.ca

We have the same problem. And was told by Ebay staff that it might take a few days or even months. i couldn't believe the answer. I will follow-up again this week to see when it will be fixed.

I was told it was a programming error. However when does a programming error become known 1 week before it happens. The fact that ebay did not post anything on their announcements area is even more surprising.

The problem I have with this, if I pay the $3000 they say I owe - in order to be allowed to list because Blackthorne is blocking ant new listings until my account is supposedly in good standing - will I get my money back?

I've never known ebay to cut cheques but only issue credit. This means they would have $3000 in upfront fees which I know I do not owe.

It all sounds very fishy and orchestrated b/c the rep called me and gave me the heads up. I've notified my local media outlets (several of my friends work in the print and air media outlets)about this problem. Maybe they have more resources to really find out if there is any funny business.

Well that was more of a reply than I got........ After all the fees eBay charges us, we kind of get treated like dirt.

This error caused a lot of troubles - here an email from my customer: "Pourquoi dois-je payer à la fois 7,50 USD et 82,50 USD pour les frais de livraison? Vous ne pourriez pas mettre les 14 cartes dans la même enveloppe? Une carte en papier ne pèse pas beaucoup et ne justifie pas tous ces frais de livraison?". Of course, all Ebay informaticians are busy because ot the new feedback system.... GUYS! Do something REALLY (REALLY!!) important!

Similar problem here, May 16 invoice looked good but fees since the 16th where higher than the whole month! Used the new payPal form, and ended up paying the whole amount (the new one sucks). Emailed asking what the fees where for - no response on that one to date - but lo, and behold, a credit shows up!
Emailed asking what happened, and now three times, they tell me I overpaid! No mention of the extra fees - nothing. One email said refunds only in a credit position (at that point I had a zero balance 'cause they hadn't corrected it yet), and now no one will respond to the refund question (four emails to eBay, and going strong!) Weird and frustrating and not good!

They finally fixed the problem yesterday afternoon. I wonder if complaining on the board helped ?

Hi Frederic... if complaining on this board ever achieved any positive action on the part of eBay we would have a Canadian solution for the appropriate charging of applicable taxes through PayPal. There are been many threads and complaints but absolutely zero action.

Unfortunately this board flies extremely low on the radar screens at eBay.
