Hi all,
As an experienced professional seller, I always had an issue on ebay to charge my customers enviro fees. Either I include them in the price (and then other sellers than don't charge the mandatory fee offer better prices than me) or I just don't charge them considering ebay don't offer sellers the option to add it as a fee. I used to do the first option, then I bought some monitors from neweggcanada - and no EHF was charged. I thought: fine, since a such a large business as newegg.ca's ebay part don't charge it, I can surely do the same. So for a couple of months, I didn't charge it anymore. Now I'm about to buy a TV from neweggcanada and guess what - they now have a "Electronic waste recycling fee" line on the checkout page. Did some research, I couldn't find where is that option... It must be somewhere, but I'm out of luck at this point....anyone knows?
Thanks!

You must add the fee into your item price or your handling fee.
You are not allowed to charge the buyer any extra fees.

Well, that doesn't answer my question... Here's a proof of what I stated and showing what I would like to do:

Can you give me an example? I just looked at a couple of neweggcanada items but I don't see anything about EHF.

OK I see, does it only show up in checkout?

If you poke around at the eBay developers site you'll find some info on this.
Looks like it's available as part of the sales tax setup for some sellers using the Trading API.
It's probably only available to small sellers who use File Exchange to create listings as opposed to Sell Your Item, Turbo Lister or the common third-party listing tools.
I didn't dig very deep, I'll let you do that.
