Re: Expanded seller protection?

I thought it was $325 Canadian and thats a lot more than $250.

You're right, I've read that too but I've always assumed that it is $325 if I list on the .ca site in Canadian $. Since I always list in U.S. $ and mostly on .com, I use $250 as a guideline. Note though that I did say assume...I've never tried to find out for sure.

The signatory name option is included at no extra charge for Priority Worldwide items and Xpresspost-International prepaid envelopes, and is available for a fee for Xpresspost–International items sent to specific destinations.

The U.S. isn't one of those destinations. You can not get a signature for parcels sent to the U.S unless you use Priority or another courier.

And I figured that it was a leftover from the 85 cent loonie days.

(I've been flunking arithmetic since Grade Four, so it made sense to me.)

"Your primary residence, as listed in your PayPal account, must be in the United States. "

That leaves Canadian sellers out in the cold for the protection.

That's a quote from the user agreement for U.S. sellers.

In our agreement it states:

Your primary residence, as listed in your PayPal Account, must be in Canada.

as pjcdn2005 mentioned, you need to be on "paypal.ca" when looking for information.

Re: Expanded seller protection?

Today I had UPS drop off and leave four large boxes with a value of approx. $3000.00 on my porch. Thats right....on MY PORCH!!!
They sat there for at least five hours until I got home today.
Luckily, no issues, but what a joke.

Re: Expanded seller protection?

Few years ago UPS delivered into my garage. I used to leave it open. What really p***ed me off was that nobody left any note and we found it after few days wondering where the heck is our package and online tracking said "in the garage". I called UPS "What the f***ck are you breaking and entering into my garage?", they said "What the f***ck are you complain about, you got your package." Since I was still fuming, my lawyer told me "Yeah, yeah, it's breaking and entering all right, but push it and forget ever using UPS again".

Now I cannot complain. Know the UPS driver on the first name basis, get parcels on time or faster, he knows both of my addresses and even calls when he cannot deliver on the main receiving address.

UPS can be great servant if you let it. If you have lot of incomings, open UPS store (Mailboxes Etc) or similar mailbox, but not a P.O.Box.

Yup, they have done that to me a few times even though I have told them not to leave it. Usually they don't even bother to take it to the side door but leave it on the front porch in plain view. Thank goodness most of my suppliers now use CanPar.
