I always used self-hosting, because I need to show very big, high-resolution images (I sell old maps). I used TWO different images for gallery and the main picture.
Now, The MAIN picture is automatically used as a GALLERY image - it makes no sens to me and kills my business.
Please, GIVE ME MY PAID GALLERY BACK!!! PLEASE!
Any one can help me? Any solution?

I haven't a clue what you are talking about. My gallery pics haven't changed a bit. You wouldn't have been dumped into the playground would you?

It concerns only the people who use more pictures and host them on their servers. I use one picture as gallery, another one (a very big - 750 x 4500 pixels!) as a main picture. The changes affect almost all my listings. As I see, you use Vendio. Some people have problems with that, too. Wait until next relisting and see, if everything is OK with your images. Me, I just started to manually revise all my listings. Until today I made 270 - still 600 left 😉

Oh. OK. I actually don't use Vendio. I only use them for the moving gallery. All my pics are hosted on Sellersourcebook. So have fun then and stay away from the discussion boards because you've got work to do! I've been there...converted thousands of listings from .ca to .com before the new TL came out and it pretty much took me all summer long!

Did changing to .com make a difference in your sales? I have thought about doing that and still might at some point if I am convinced it will make a difference.

There was a post on the .com boards about this. You can no longer do what you used to do. The system now automatically takes the first picture in your listing and uses it as the gallery image.

Some people used the gallery image as part of branding and put their logo in there. The first image in their listng would be different from the gallery image. You can't do that anymore.

You have two options at this point. Either put the image you want to show up in the gallery as the first image in your listing with all other images to follow or stop having an image specifically for the gallery and go with eBay's changes. You don't have a choice anymore. Sorry.
