In case you did not already know, today is 5¢ listing day on ebay.ca. The surprising thing is I am still waiting for the notice from e-Bay to advise me.

Neither of my .ca IDs received the notice. Did anyone get one?

Hi All

It keeps going and going just like the energizer bunny.

The proof is in the writing.

It does not matter what area you go into on this board.

As far a hiding it is not even worth giving a response on one sided arguments that do not hold water.

MMC sorry about the boards and Tim I will talk to you later.

Take care and have fun Monique

I don't lie down with anyone but my husband. I do have four cats though, do they count as a dog.

FITZ/TIM: I'm off this board so I won't be talking to you later. I am taking ALERO's advice.

I used to participate in this board (several months back) under a different ID; but found the experience too negative. While I myself was never slammed, I felt ashamed to belong to a board whose primary focus seems to be to belittle instead of supporting other members.

I am sure there are some wonderful people in this board, unfortunately the vinegar is outshining the honey. Too bad boards weren't like Survivor, where members could be voted off.

Thanks INVENT for trying to steer the discussion back to its intended purpose. I've decided to do nothing about the lack of notice since I did have some time to post. If it happens again, I will communicate with e-Bay Canada and communicate my dismay at the lack of notice.

mmc-super signing off...Going back to the U.S. boards.

Definition of Antisocial Personality Disorder

Personality denotes characteristic ways of thinking, feeling, behaving, and reacting to the environment. A personality disorder is said to exist when a person chronically uses mechanisms of coping in an inappropriate, stereotyped, and maladaptive fashion. Personality disorders are enduring and persistent styles of behavior and thought, not atypical episodes.

The course and severity of personality disorders can be worsened by the presence of other psychiatric problems such as mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders.

Diagnostic criteria for antisocial personality include a pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others and inability or unwillingness to conform to what are considered to be the norms of society.

The disorder involves a history of chronic antisocial behavior that begins before the age of 15 and continues into adulthood. The disorder is manifested by a pattern of irresponsible and antisocial behavior as indicated by academic failure, poor job performance, illegal activities, recklessness, and impulsive behavior. Symptoms may include dysphoria, an inability to tolerate boredom, feeling victimized, and a diminished capacity for intimacy.

Antisocial personality disorder, also known as psychopathic personality or sociopathic personality often brings a person into conflict with society as a consequence of a pattern of behavior that is amoral and unethical. Complications that might arise from having this disorder include: frequent imprisonment for unlawful behavior, alcoholism and drug abuse.

People with this disorder may appear charming on the surface, but they are likely to be aggressive and irritable as well as irresponsible across all areas. They may have numerous somatic complaints Due to their use of manipulative behavior, it is difficult to separate what is true and what is not.

Antisocial Personality Disorder Symptoms

Disregard for society's expectations and laws
Unlawful behavior
Violate rights of others
Physical aggression
Lack of stability in job, home life
Lack of remorse
Superficial charm and wit
Impulsiveness

People with a personality disorder often use alcohol and other drugs (AODs) for purposes that relate to the personality disorder: to diminish symptoms of the disorder, to enhance low self-esteem, to decrease feelings of guilt, and to amplify diminished feelings of individuality.

Causes of Antisocial Personality Disorder

The cause of this disorder is unknown though genetic factors are thought to be involved since the incidence of antisocial behavior is higher in people who have an antisocial biological parent. However, environmental factors are also believed to contribute to a person developing antisocial personality disorder since people whose role model had antisocial tendencies is more likely to develop the disorder. About 3% of men and about 1% of women have antisocial personality disorder with percentages much higher among the prison population.

Antisocial Personality Disorder Treatment

People affected with the disorder rarely seek therapy, but might be forced into it because of a "run in" with the law. So far, there has been little success in treating antisocial behavior and personality. In-patient programs have met with success when progress is what determines privileges, and more privileges result in the development of improved self-esteem. Some evidence suggests the disorder decreases with age; after turning 30 or older, many antisocial patients' symptoms fade somewhat.

Medication

Medications have not proved helpful in treating the disorder. Often they are not taken regularly or are abused, so are not effective in improving symptoms.

I didn't get a notice either, I thought ebay was "watching" the boards to see what issues were coming up so they could "deal with them" I'm not amused. humm $.40+ to list an item WITHOUT a gallery picture, vs $.05 perhaps ebay should look into the volume of items on those $.05 days and then look in their bank account when they charge all their dam final value fees. PLUS the fees paypal charges (usually 5% or more with exchange).
Not to mention look at the traffic a sale like that generates. Perhaps they should think about running ebay like a business and not some government organization. We're going to raise taxes, but wait a minute, if I lower taxes and encourage growth, that means more business' start up and then they start paying me more taxes... economics what? I havn't been a power seller long, but I'm really starting to get fed up. btw what benefit do I get? oh that's right the "freedom" to tell everyone else who's in the same boat, hey guys, that dam shark keeps eating one of our limbs a day, isn't it about time we shot it in the head?
Oh and hi everyone!! Yes this is my first posting! haha
I missed out on the $.05 day and I'm not happy about it, can you tell?

I have done quite well with my recent five cent listing day sales. I think we should have one of these a week. It would benefit both EBay and most of the EBay sellers I truly believe. Let's vote on a five cent listing day per week!

Sounds good to me!!
I always do VERY well on those days, I just hurts way too much to pay $.40 plus pictures for something that may or may not sell.
