Gallery error code 8

I just listed a bunch of items and most items are coming up as not having a picture or picture is unavailable.

The suggestions on the error page are as follows:

There's a problem with your Gallery picture

There's a problem with your Gallery picture. Sometimes this problem resolves itself within 24 hours without you doing anything. Below are the 3 different ways you can try to fix it now:

  • Go to the Fix your Gallery picture page, and click the Create button.
  • If you want to use a different picture for your Gallery picture, revise your item to add a different picture.
  • If fixing your Gallery picture doesn't solve the problem, please contact eBay Customer Support and give them this Gallery error code:8

So... It's been over 24 hours, what do I do?  Contact support only gives a phone number, no option to email or chat.

If it's too small, why don't they say that?  I'm starting to get fed up with eBay...

Most of the failed pics belong on relisted items so I don't understand why they worked last time and now it's buggered.  Could my Turbo Lister be messed up?

This has happened to me from time to time in the past. (I believe, I don't know if it was error code 8 though)

On the assumption your pictures are ok, generally if you follow the "fix your gallery picture" path, just go through the process, it normally fixes it....even if it doesn't look like it does via the fix process.... try it as an experiment on one, check the item before and after in "my ebay" that way you will be able to see if the picture is now showing....after going through the fix gallery picture process.....

I believe there was some grace given to already existing GTC listings when the new picture policies came in, i.e. they were left alone until you try to revise or relist them.  At least this is what happened to me.  I had a few that were no longer compliant with the new policy and had to re-do or re-size the photos.

And yes, I know, they weren't very specific about what the picture problem was.  I just assumed it was the size, and when I fixed that problem, I was able to relist the items.
