Got an eCheck from user with 0 feedback, should I cancel it before it goes through?

Someone with 0 feedback paid for an item with an eCheck.  I am nervous of this.  I thanked them for their purchase but no reply.  I've read on the net alot of scammers are doing this now in hopes you will send the item before the check clears.  Since I have little feedback I think I could be a target for such a scam.  Should I cancel it before it goes through?

You can't cancel a sale when payment has been made.

Don't ship until the check clears. It probably will. Remember that people write here for advice when they have problems not when they have none.

I find it useful, especially with newbies, to let them know that their payment from their bank account was in the form of an "e-cheque" and that I cannot print out the shipping label until the e-cheque clears, but that their purchase is packaged ready to go as soon as that happens. I also say that the clearance may take up to 10 days.

And the 'e-cheque' spelling is deliberate. It reminds US buyers that they are buying from a foreign country.

BTW, you know that even when the cheque clears, Paypal will hold the payment sort of in escrow for up to 21 days against your good performance. So ship promptly. Use Air Mail and, given the prices you are listing at, don't worry about the occasional loss.

And the eCheque did clear now it's sitting in paypal for another 2 weeks. So that's almost a month it is because I don't have 10 sales yet. Then I will only have to wait 12 days from payment to my bank. 😞
