How to contact ebay ? How to report a fraud ?

One seller open a case for an unpaid item that I never ordered.

I never buy or bide , or make promise to buy this item, but I visit the seller page, like many other sellers pages.

Now this seller is forcing me to buy or want to scary me, I don't now, but I find this method very close to a fraud.

I'm very new on ebay, but I lived more then 10 years in Canada without ebay and is very disappointing to see how fast **bleep** happens.

Maybe is better for me to avoid this site.

 Someone in similar situations ?

Re: How to contact ebay ? How to report a fraud ?

I'm sorry to hear you are having difficulty with the site. This is a member-to-member board where ebayers ask other ebayers for advice. For this problem, I suggest you call eBay Customer Service directly. The reason that I am giving you this advice is that it is IMPOSSIBLE for an ebay seller to open an Unpaid Item case against a buyer like yourself unless a purchase has been made.

Therefore, I can speculate one of three scenarios: either someone used your desktop computer or your mobile device to play in your account and bought something without your knowledge OR you accidentally bought it when it was in your shopping cart and thought you had bought something else from another seller only OR you have received some kind of new phishing scheme email where your account may or may not have been hacked and the person(s) responsible for notifying you of an 'unpaid item case' are simply sending out messages asking for payment to see who takes the bait.

Regardless, my advice is the same. Call ebay for help. It's under Contact Us. Best of luck to you in moving forward from this.

You or someone using your account did bid on the item, because the seller does not see the names of the people who just look at their listings.

so you can either pay for the item or you can accept that you will have an Unpaid Item Strike against your account.
