I list a printer with description of "HP 4100 printer with NO network card and NO duplexer" and also as i always post " NO 0 feedback bidder and serious bidder only". Then this guy just buy it now and won this printer. Later on, he send me email and ask "please confirm this printer comes with duplexer". I was like "#@!$.....", then i reply him " as we posted on the description, NO duplexer" He finally reply "im not gonna spend that much money on a printer without duplexer, im not paying"
OMG, I wasted of my list fee and get no paid.:_|
and im also afraid that he will leave a negative feedback to me if I cliamed him coz hes just 0 feedback, i don't think he really cares about the feedbacks.
My questions are:
1. what we can do if the listed item is bid by a 0 feedback bidder, which i posted " NO 0 feedback bidder"
2. what i can do in this situation?
BTW, forgive my typing mistake.:|

hi skyhigh...you'd probably be better off pre blocking bidders of 0 feedback instead of posting it on your auction listing, sorry, i think some people would read it the wrong way...and sounds kind of discriminatory?
regardless, that does sound very annoying! honest god, learn how to read people!!! save the emails in case he does leave you a negetive so you can send it to ebay and they can see that your item description did include no duplexer...whatever the heck that is!!??!?:-)

:-DThanks for your advice, Kat.
Im thinking pre blocking too. How do you block bidders with 0 feedback? I haven't done that before. It seems like I only can block buyer by their user ID. Any suggestions?

hi skyhigh...here you go...

Adding buyer requirements

By selecting certain buyer requirements, you can manage the types of buyers you'd like to have bid on or buy your items. While this may reduce your exposure to buyers who might make transactions difficult or more expensive, or with a history of Unpaid Item strikes, it will also reduce the overall number of potential buyers you'll have for your items. For this reason, you should think carefully before using buyer requirements to block buyers.

To add buyer requirements to your listings:
In My eBay, under the My Account column, click the "Preferences" link.

In the Seller Preferences section, click the “Edit” link. The Buyer Requirements page opens.

Select your buyer requirements. These include blocking buyers who:

Are registered in countries to which you don't ship

Have a negative feedback score

Have received Unpaid Item strikes

Are currently winning or have bought '1-100' of your items in the last 10 days

Do not have a PayPal account

Click the Submit button to save your requirements.

The requirement(s) you select will be applied to your current and future listings and can be disabled at any time.

Note: The exception to this is the requirement that the buyers have a PayPal account. This requirement will apply to future listings only and can be disabled per item on the Sell Your Item form. Current listings, including good-till-canceled and selling tool templates, will not be affected. You'll need to revise these listings or templates to enable this requirement.

Requiring buyers to have a PayPal account does not mean that the buyer must pay for the item using PayPal. It only requires that the buyer be a PayPal account holder before they can bid on or purchase the item through whichever payment method you accept.

You can use buyer requirements to reduce your chance of experiencing a buyer who doesn't pay for the item they have won or agreed to purchase. For example, eBay has found that buyers who are also PayPal account holders have up to an 80% lower Unpaid Item rate than buyers who are not PayPal account holders.

good luck to you! doing this crosses my mind from time to time too, but i don't think i'm quite there yet!!:-)

Um....people please try to read and comprehend.

There are NO options to block 0 feedback bidders. You cannot do that. You can only block bidders with -1, -2 feedbacks. That's it. That's all you can block by feedback number.

Here is how I did it, please follow this step:
1. click My ebay
2. click My account (in your left column)
3. click Preference
4. in "selling preference" section, you will see "buyer requirements", then click "show"
5. then click "Edit"
6. in your 4th section, which is "Buyers who may bid on several of my items and not pay for them"
tick two of the box and choose "100" for first box, and choose "0" for the second box
PS: If you don't know why we should choose like this, click"how this requirement works"
7. Click "submit", then your done
Let me know if your lost in any steps. 😄

That does not block 0 feedback buyers - it only limits the number of your items they can bid on, with a minimum number of 1.

If you chose 100 for the first box, you are allowing 0 feedback buyers to buy 100 of your items before they are stopped.

There are some pretty stupid (or maybe its lazy) people out there that do not read the listings fully. I have had a few too but thats life-get over it. The way I see it is, at one time we all started out with 0 feedback. If someone blocked you and your 0 fb, that probably would have discouraged you from buying and therefore you would buy retail instead of online.

There are a lot of people that don't read or comprehend things properly.

That is precisely why eBay has NO option to block 0 feedback bidders. Everybody started at 0 and deserves a chance. There are problems with bidders at every feedback level. There's no limit on stupidity.

I just had someone with 1600 feedbacks ask me if my "scanned for use on eBay by Jakeeangel" watermark will come on the pictures they're interested in bidding on. Um...ya sure. Read much? Sheesh! It's a sad commentary that I even have to say in my listings that there will be no writing on the photos you receive and still some people ask. *sigh*

Yes, 0 feedback bidders are often a pain, but most are still honest. The dozens of 0 feedback non-paying bidders I get every month kind of hurt, but the rest still pay. I wish more newbies would read up on ebay or get help from a friend before bidding though. One guy had problems with his PayPal account, cancelled the transaction and closed the account and then gave me neutral feedback because he had a bad experience with PayPal but (I) 'Vendor' was 'OK'. (At least it wasn't negative.) Didn't even realize that PayPal and I were separate entities until I sent an Unpaid Item reminder. Probably won't realize that feedback is left for seller/buyer and not for your ebay/PayPal experience until after he reads my reply. Sigh.
