Bought an item two months ago, because it's over the 45 days I can't even leave a comment to warn others not to buy from this person.  Not to mention the lost money.  Feeling completely scammed by the seller and by ebay.

EBay and Paypal offer strong buyer protection, but there is a deadline.

You must start a Dispute within 45 days or neither company will help you.

However, if you took your payment out of the credit card you used to back your PP account, you can go to the Customer Service number on the card and ask about a chargeback. While credit cards also have deadlines, they tend to be longer than those of eBay and PP.

When you phone have all the transaction numbers, dates and values at hand to help the clerk complete your refund.

In terms of eBay,you have 60 days to leave feedback. The most effective feedback is calm and factual. No CAPS, exc!amat!on points, or wild accusations. In addition, you will be asked to leave Detailed Seller Ratings. The lowest Rating is ONE. Leaving no rating is a free pass for the seller.

If a seller's DSRs drop below 4.3, his ability to list and sell is restricted, even ended. So DSRs are even more important than feedback.

Unfortunately, your seller used delaying tactics to discourage you from opening an unpaid item dispute until it was too late. If the 45 day dispute deadline is getting close, open the inpute no matter what the seller is telling you.

your only hope for a refund is the credit card chargeback mentioned in the last post.
