Salada Tea but are you sure? I believe you may be talking about Wade figurines. I think these were in Red Rose tea.
There were various animal and fairy tale figures in the packages for years.
Although they are or were very common in Canada, there was a collecting base in the USA where they were hard to find.
I don't know if these are still being collected. If I remember, they went for a couple of dollars each in antique stores in tourist areas.
A search on Wade Figures shows them being sold in lots. I didn't check on sales just listings.
