I like to send a gift card in a letter, how can I do it safely without spending $10.00 for shipping?

If I send a gift card to a buyer with regular mail I have no way to know if the buyer has received  it or not. The buyer could just say I did not get it and I have no way to prof it that he has received it,

I regularly ship items by letter mail but my product appeals to a demographic that is painfully honest. 

You could try including the cost of Delivery Confirmed shipping in the asking price /starting bid for the lsiting. This looks like Free Shipping, which appeals to buyers, but allows you to cover the actual cost of shipping with Delivery Confirmation.

Note also that Small Packet includes up to $100 insurance against loss or damage in transit, although it does not have Delivery Confirmation.

Final thought- sell iit locally for cash on Kijiji or Craigslist. KJJ has pictures! Both are free.
