I looked at an item and contacted the seller that I didn't want it now they are saying I HAVE TO BUY

I contacted the seller and told them that I did not want the item that it was a mistake as I am new to ebay purchases.  Why am I getting an unpaid charge against me.  This is bogus and sounds like a scam.

Hi pamszerencsi,

When you are the winning bidder or purchase an item through Buy It Now, you are technically entitled to complete that transaction. Actually, both parties are - Buyer and Seller. So just to clarify, if the Seller is holding you to this standard, it wouldn't be a scam, but rather, they're simply maintaining eBay policies.
