I paid for the item, the seller says he didn't receive the payment

I paid for the item which I purchased and on ebay. The payment was cleared from the paypal account. Now I got the notification that still I have to pay for the item. I don't know what is going on?

Check your Paypal account and determine the email address the payment was sent to.

Then contact the seller and confirm that it is correct.

The problem may have come from a typo (on his part or on yours) or you may have paid to an out of date address.

Both happen without being anyone trying to be scammy.
