If anyone can help/has dealt with this before please help!

I bought an item from a seller in March. it is now mid-July and it never showed up. i contacted the seller many times. the first time they replied telling me to wait a bit longer. i was new to ebay and i didnt really know how long items usually took... that is, until my other items (that i ordered at the same time) started showing up.

so after i waited i contacted the seller again. they said it was sent but that they would re-send. so i waited again. but it also NEVER showed up. so again, i contacted the seller.

they asked me to wait again and, like and idiot, i did Smiley Sad . by the end of June i had had lots or correspondence with the seller and they seemed to begin to lose interest and then after a while they became indifferent.

i asked them to either re-send me my item or refund my purchase. they refused both and told me to contact ebay in a message that pretty much meant to me: "too bad, you're outta luck".

this is now JULY and, as i am sure everyone knows, you cannot create a case with ebay past 45 days for some reason.

so now i have no item, i am out the money and i can't get any support from ebay. and this is all because i was (stupidly) patient with this seller.

please help me ebay-community-people, you're my only hope! if anyone has any info, like a general ebay email address i would greatly appreciate it.

Smiley Very Happy Thanks Everyone! Smiley Very Happy

If you paid with a credit card, you may have a case for a chargeback thru it. Otherwise since the 45 days for opening a case has past, I'm thinking your hooped. Was your item shipped with a track #, most items from the US have one. Good luck

This "we will send a replacement" scam showed up from Asian sellers early last year and has suckered many a patient and naive buyer.

It has started to spread to North America.

Do phone the credit card you really paid with. (Paypal is just the mediator) . There is a 1-800 number on the card or on your invoice. Ask the customer service rep about a chargeback.

While credit cards have longer deadlines, they do have deadlines, so act  immediately. Five months is pushing it. Have your dates, payments and shipping information handy for the clerk to process a refund.
