After some of the runarounds I've been through with Canada Post I was shocked to open my mail today to see that I was credited back about $70.00 on 2 orders.
I use the VCD desktop software and when I ship by XpresspostUSA there is always a "4 day delivery guarantee" or "5 day deliver guarantee" etc. I never paid much attention to these until I had 2 customers complain at the same time that they had not received the Xpresspost packages 10 days after I had sent them. I had told them to expect delivery in 3-5 business days.
2 days after i started the trace I was notified by my customers that the parcels had just been received.
I phoned the billing department at Canada Post and asked them if a guarantee really means a "guarantee". I gave them the tracking # and I fully expected some kind of excuse like "sorry, these were probably held up in customs". I was shocked when instead, she asked if I would like a full freight credit to be refunded to my credit card or to be credited to my account! Today my statement confirmst that I was credited back the same day I called billing. NICE
The story here is that when you ship Xpresspost USA to ALWAYS write down your tracking # as well as the zip code and date shipped and the delivery guarantee time to that zip. Keep this list handy by your computer. A week later check online to see if Canada Post/USPS delivered on the promise. If not, phone and get credited!
