Is buyer lying about not receiving an item

Can I or should I dispute a resolution case after I have issued a refund?

Buyer claims he has not received item and opens case.  I respond to his emails, but his responses are nasty.  I issue a full refund and email 1 last time hoping that he has received his item.  He now says that he thinks I never shipped the item and adds "who would steal a two bit badge".  Who talked about stealing?  I now wonder if this buyer is lying about not receiving his item.  Should I/can I dispute this case with paypal?  What proof do I need to provide that I shipped this item?  I shipped 6 packages on that day and I have a Canada Post receipt.  Is that enough?  Does ebay or paypal provide any protection for sellers in a case like this?  Transactions like this one make me wonder if I should stop selling on ebay - unpleasant at the very least.

Thanks

Is buyer lying about not receiving an item

PayPal only accepts on line delivery confirmation.

If insured , file a claim.

You have refunded and likely apologized. Nothing to be gained with further communication.

I would add the ID to my blocked bidder list..
