I purchased an item from seller, that never arrived. I disputed it with no response, then opened a claim. Then instead of dealing with it properly the seller decides to leave a negative comment on his original feedback where he commented "fast payment...good buyer", then proceeded to add a note that I'M the thief??? Where is the justice here? I'm so **bleep** that this scam artist actually tries to blame me! A simple read on his comments reveals that he is a repeat offender as someone that takes money, but (sometimes) doesn't send. I'm really surprised eBay doesn't penalize these scam artists more!!

First did you close the case and get your money back?
If you did then the seller got a black mark on his seller record.
Did you leave appropriate feedback? The most effective feedback is calm and factual.
Did you leave appropriate Detailed Seller Ratings? These are much much more important than feedback. The normal Rating is Five Stars. The lowest is ONE Star. No stars is a free pass.
If a seller's DSRs drop below 4.3, his ability to list and to sell on eBay is severely restricted.
But this requires that buyers follow through on Disputes and leave feedback and DSRs.
You should also call Customer Support and ask that the 'false positive' feedback be removed. Ahhh. Except that he used Response, as did you, to make the accusations. Responses are not required to be positive. But ask anyway, if you don't, nothing will change.
