Light Packet USA? Is it gone forever?

So, I got rid of US shipping because I didn't know what to expect cost wise with the new pricing.

Today, I started it up again and after having problems going through ebay. I just said screw it went to the post office and got my stuff shipped by them.

They charged me Small Packet Surface US... Does this mean the Light Packet USA is gone forever or did I just get ripped off? ... $6.12 to mail something to the states when international Light Packet across the world is $5.20

Light Packet U.S. (and International) are still available.  I used it today.  The only service being discontinued is Small Packet Surface.  Small Packet Air is available but with no insurance.

Ya, I just realized

The guy ripped me off.

I asked for the cheapest and he charged me $6.12 when the cheapest was Light Packet USA for $2.78.

Nope, it's still around. I used Light Packet USA today. Cost me $2.68

Was your parcel thicker than 2cm? Light packet can not be thicker than 2 cm, otherwise it has to go Small Packet rate.

It was extremely thin, I sent the same product many times light packet.

Whateva it's karma (He forgot to charge me for the $3.50 in stamps) so I balanced even out even anyways.
