Missing eBay Emails

Hi folks,

Is anybody having issues with eBay emails? I have my preferences set up to get all emails to my inbox but am not getting all of them. I'm only getting some. If I get 3 Q4S I'll get maybe 1 in my inbox. WTH is going on??

Is this happening to anybody else? I've checked my spam filters & I don't see any eBay email address on there. It's possible Rogers is eating them before I see them but am not sure.

I noticed that most of the missing ones are from outside North America where eBay has started that masking BS. I wonder if the masking nonsense appears as spam & is eaten.

Does anybody have any ideas? I like to have copies in my inbox. Oh, and when I forward the email to my inbox, LOL LOL LOL, *sigh* all I get is this:

From : xxxxxx (eBay ID)

Subject: You've received a question about your eBay item, Bird Toys Rainbow Shredders Zig Zag Parrot Toy Shred

That's it. Nothing else. No item number, no question, nothing. Which is why I'm figuring something is wrong on eBay's end. This has been happening for the last 3 or 4 days now. It had not happened before & I was getting the masked emails from outside NA to my inbox.

Has anybody else seen this or a solution? TIA 🙂

Whatever is in "my messages" actually flows through to our mail client (we don't subscribe to any spam filters).

The big ISP's have become quite aggressive and if you subscribe to their spam filter, your are looking for issues as eBayer.

However, a portion of our outgoing mail gets trapped in spam filters; hence we replicate it all via the eBay messaging system if it arrived this way.

As far as I know I don't subscribe to anything extra from them because I don't want them eating random emails that they think is SPAM.

What do you mean I'm looking for issues as eBayer? I'm looking for answers & wondering if anyone else has encountered the same problem as I described in the OP.

What I meant to say is that, if you are a seller on eBay, it would be wise not to subscribe to any spam filters as they have a habit of making decisions for you that can cause problems, i.e. "eating" mail they believe are spam.

However, looks as if you already have that figured out.

I had this happen as well and I was told there nothing was wrong with the ebay system. Also have had it happen many times when posting items as we never received a message email to indicate that items were posted. Told again nothing wrong with the software at Ebay and it was at my location.

I've been having the same problem over the past week or so. It's been kind of hit and miss of the messages that are coming in. Some of the confirmations are coming in that I've listed an item but more importantly I'm not getting the notification that an item is sold. I know it's not my email provider as they are not coming in on my blackberry either and I don't have a spam filter. I was going to contact Ebay to inquire but find I never get a straight answer and noticed the posting on here. Are you still having this happen jakeeangel/Fitz?
