Invited sellers who activate the offer and then create a listing with Canadian Dollars specified as the currency in the auction-style format, auction-style with Buy It Now format, or fixed price format, pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth herein ("Qualifying Listing"), will pay no insertion fee per item listed ("Promotion") for up to 1,000 listings during the Promotion Period (as defined below).
The Promotion does not apply to listings with 1-day or 3-day duration, final value fees, or optional upgrade fees. Final value fees will be applied to the total amount of the sale, including the cost of the item, shipping, and any other fees a seller may charge—excluding any sales tax. Fees for optional listing upgrades (such as reserve price, bold, listing in 2 categories, etc.) still apply. For listing in 2 categories, you will be charged at standard rates for the second category. Please note: Not all upgrades are available in all listing flows. All existing selling limits on your account (as well as category and item limits) still apply, and may prevent you from creating the maximum number of listings in this Promotion. The Promotion is in addition to the free listings per month as part of the everyday rate plan.
Who's eligible?
This Promotion is available to sellers who: (i) activated the promotion from the invitation email or on the Promotion landing page; and (ii) meet eBay's minimum seller performance standards. Please sign in to My eBay and view your Seller Dashboard to verify whether your account is currently meeting the standards.

I can see someone asking Raphael next Wednesday:
"Why are Canadians treated as second class citizens by eBay?"

We don't get the special for 3 months like they do on .com. As Pierre says, we are 2nd rate again, or actually still, in the eyes of Ebay.

" will end on Sunday, November 15, 2015, "
That is the problem.
Invited Canadians on eBay.ca get 10 days.
Invited Americans on eBay.com get 3 months!

I agree!!!!!!!!!!! Shame on eBay!!

I am not appreciated that eBay "needs" to control us telling us to list in Canadian dollars. I think it is because they want to get higher final value fees in the sold prices. In Canadian dollars, the starting prices are much higher than US dollars. I sell more to USA than Canada and International and we should have the power to decide which currency to use NOT eBay!!
What other reasons eBay wants us to list in Canadian dollars?? Greedy of course!! Higher final value fees, that is why!!

I use CAD anyway so that aspect does't bother me but I am somewhat affronted we're served leftovers again.
But ignorance is bliss: I was happy with my ebay Canada KLIK Special until I saw our friends on Ebay USA are eating caviar.

?????
If you list in US $$$ or the equivalent amount in CAN $$, the Final Value Fee rate is at a fixed percentage which is the same rate on both sites which means eBay will get the same equivalent amount of Final Value fees.

Are you kidding me???!! I list my items at $9.99 in US dollars and the Canadian dollars is $14.99, so if I am "forced" to list them in Canadian dollars, I would lose business when US see in Canadian dollars which are higher than US. I prefer to use US to attract the US sellers. Does it make senses?

Check the item 111795546755 on eBay.com and the price is $51.24 Canadian, the US buyers would go "Eeeeek! see that it is higher than usual and if they don't click it and see #39.00 US, that is the problem I am talking about! It is when the US buyers searching for Elvis Ann Margret Viva Las Vegas and it will come up with Canadian currency! Now you get what I mean?

When U.S. buyers log on to eBay.com, they see the listings in their own currency, USD. When we search on eBay.ca, we see listings in Canadian currency. It's only when we click on the listing, that we see the original $US listing price.
I occasionally list items in CAD and have sold a few to American buyers. I've been told that they were drawn to my item while searching because the price they saw was so low. If I list something for 19.95 CAD, they see $15.00 USD.
On eBay.com, I checked your Ann Margret item and saw the price $39 US.
My intention is not to be argumentative but, from various threads I've read, there has been some misunderstanding as to what American buyers see on their own site.

I think the intention for ebay's encouragement to list in CAD is clear: list in CAD for Canadian buyers on ebay.ca or list on ebay.com for American buyers in USD. For me, CAD works great and I went that direction long ago, despite every Sell form stating 'listings in USD are 15 per cent more likely to sell'. Not for me.
I expect this will lead to a day in the near future where ebay.ca is limited to CAD and the double listing allotments for ebay.ca and ebay.com will cease. (Probably because we keep yelling about the ebay.com US Cart not accepting our USD listings!)
I am ambivalent about the above.
If I were to find myself sitting on an item so hot that I expected it to sell to the first person who raced to their computer, I'd list it in USD on ebay.com anyway. I want my listings in CAD because my first focus is Canadian buyers. They need what I'm shucking more than Americans do, as our friends to the South have more selection at their disposal than do we here.
But that's what works for me only so it makes sense from my vantage point.

It does not really matter as I am finally closing my store in less than three weeks (November 25th).
Why is that? May I ask? You're not really leaving altogether, are you? That would be a loss for us all as your many years of expertise and insight is invaluable here.

I received the invitation. I was disappointed though when I read the part about CAD $. But I have a few items that ended recently, so I'll bite and relist them in CAD $ (and adjust the price consequently). It did not work well for me in the past, but we'll see....
