Need advice fronm you experienced sellers

OK sold item 350223353306 it is a rare metal figure I know it was in excellent condition and double checked it before sent buyer claims damaged and has left a neutral. In fact he is bidding on same type of item 270433642251 at half price. I put a bid in just to let him know I knew he was bidding I think thats when he got mad and left neutral because I had caught him in a lie ( probably shot myself in the foot there ) . I had already offered to refund if he returned but I think he was waiting to see if he wins this other one ending tomorrow. His email says he has modified figure my question is what are my options with paypal if he makes a claim ? Specifically the fact that he has worked on the figure? I was more than happy to refund upon return they sell fast. But now after the neutral and latest email on modification nervous he intends to damage and return. Any advice ? Oh by the way there is no chance he will win the other one I intend too!

If he can't return it in its original condition, he should lose the case.

Be sure and include the email where he says that in the dispute. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Re: Need advice fronm you experienced sellers

Hey thanks thats what I had hoped but I have had very few cases maybe 4 in total. He has not opened a case yet, but when he does not win the same item tomorrow, he may or he may decide to keep the item they rarely come up for auction. I think he was embarrassed and a little shocked that I knew he was bidding on same item. Has anyone actually had a claim where and item was used or changed ? Just trying to get insight into the process my one and only fought dispute with paypal was a Epic which I eventually won for meagre 100+ dollars. Cost me hours of time and fustration.

Re: Need advice fronm you experienced sellers

People have had cases where the item was changed - sometimes they ship a phone and get a rock back.

The details matter, so photograph anything that comes back, get the weight on arrival, and document everything. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Re: Need advice fronm you experienced sellers

Well I waited for return but buyer gave me a neutral and dinged my stars weird but a least no neg. DSR was just updated and only 4 1s or 2 s in description rest zero problems crazy new system I can almost tell which newbies dinged me because they did not read description. This new DSR level rating is pathetic
