Need immediate help with what should be a small problem but...

HI. I'm hoping someone here can help me with what I thought would be a tiny problem but is turning into a huge headache. I was getting low on CanadaPost EST Desktop clear enveolopes (the ones you put your shipping labels in) so recently ordered what I thought was 10 x 100 of them. However, when I ran out of these today and opened the new shipment, I found that I had accidentally ordered TEN International labelopes (NOT 10 x 100 EST clear envelopes!).

I immediately ordered more on-line, but only the slowest shipping option was showing (normally, you can at least upgrade to Xpresspost). I then went to the Post Office, and local office supply stores, none of which had anything like this in stock (has to be able to take an 8.5" x 5.5" paper).

I then spent over an hour on the phone with CanadaPost trying to get someone to help me get my hands on some of these quickly, only to end up being put on hold for 15 minutes and then cut off (shades of ebay/Paypal).

My new order will probably take a good 10 days to get here. I can ad-lib for US/Canadian orders, but have to be able to include 2 shipping label copies, accessible to Customs, for International orders with tracking.

Any suggestions? Does any store sell something similar? Anyone living close to Burnaby who would be able to lend me some of these? If I have to give up on EST and/or Paypal on-line shipping, it's going to cost me a significant amount of time and postage costs. I can't believe that this is proving to be such a difficult mistake to fix. Or, maybe I've just had a long day and am not thinking clearly of a solution.

If you do a search on staples.ca for clear envelopes, there are a few on there which might work for you. Any time that I've ordered online from them it has only taken a day or two.

I use paypal shipping and just use the labelopes which have room for 8.5 x 5.5 paper. I'm not sure what the difference is between those and the est shipping envelopes.

If you are in a pinch, you could also visit your local Purolator Shipping Center, as they have the clear shipping envelopes and are happy to provide them free of charge.

Just an idea in the short term 😉

The ones at Staples, etc. aren't big enough to show the entire label (only show half).

I had thought of trying Purolator, but the Postal clerk said Purolator wouldn't sell them to me. Will try there this morning.

Thanks.

Just print onto paper and tape them on with packing tape.

Zip Lock bags? Why not get the proper label holders for free from CP? 😉

Re: Need immediate help with what should be a small problem but...

Because they will take too long to arrive.

time = money.

As mention in the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers (Often and on a slightly different topic) Money will get you through times of no labels better than labels will get you through times of no money.

Or something like that .

Anybody got any Cheezies?

If you need them fast and don't mind paying for them, uline is the way to go.
1000 of them (6 1/2" x 9" top loading) will cost you about 110 dollars plus shipping plus tax, so about 13-15 cents each depending on how much you have to pay for shipping.

If you plan ahead and order them well before you need them, Canada Post is FREE.

Just an update here, I ordered 200 clear shipping label pouches on Monday (item # 33-086-593), along with 100 Air Mail stickers (item # 43-074-038) from Canada Post, and they arrived today (Friday!)
Not bad, and FREE too! 😉
