New format Sucks.

When it comes to searching for comics you can not define silver age ect in the search box. When I want to see what auctions are ending in 1 hr I want a specific avenue of comics the new layout has taken this away. In the advance search you can not even choose comics only collectibles the old format was WAY better. If I was in Silver age comics it automatically filled that in as the search area, this does not happen any more and honestly has made Ebay a pain in the ass for me and not fun.

Yes, the changes to the search functions are maddening.

The cynic in me thinks that they are removing your ability to refine your search so that you will see more and therefore buy more items. It's the retail equivalent of putting milk and bread at the back of the grocery store.

Hello 'glamhammer',

Not being a comic collector I am probably out of my depth on this one, but I

tried putting "silver age" into the Search bar and choosing Collectibles from

the Category drop-down on the right.

Doing that yields far too many, but on the left side column I was able to pick Comics

from the top and then Silver Age again.  A lot of pointless clicking, I suppose.

You can further narrow it down by Location and so forth, choosing from the left side

options.

You don't say specifically what you were looking for.   Just "silver age" will bring up

a huge number of results, so if it is a particular kind you can add that to the Search bar.

Otherwise I think 'ricochet' makes a very good point.   So many unwanted listings and no

way to narrow our interests to those items we might actually want to buy.

It'll be a grand day when ebay includes an option to omit all GSP listings from view, and

better yet, include a UK & Europe option under Location.

Oh, better still, . . .  list all those countries (I can think of 'one') from whom we do not want

to buy and we can check a box to eliminate them so their rubbish never appears in our

searches.  Ahhh, I get misty-eyed just thinking about it.
