Notification

Hi, At the first line of eBay page, there is a bell for notify like "outbit" can I remove those notifications or the bell..

The bell lol at first i really didnt like it,but now i do,kinda like when it gets my attenshion on a sale.I must say that it is a great idea once you get used to it,but thats just my opinion and not sure if you can get rid of it.
