I sold an item to a person in Oshawa Ontario. Let's say there ebay name is 123. I am now getting emails from another ebayer from New Foundland with a ebay name of XYZ. She is claiming that item is defective and wants a refund. No problem. However if I were to issue a refund she wants the money first. Is this a scam. Why am I dealing with two different ebay clients?

My first response would be......
"I'm sorry but I can't find any record of this transaction"
After that part gets resolved......
"refunds can only be processed after the item has been returned"
