Please help me! i beg of you!
i have already paid for an item using PAYPAL (full payment)
but the seller has sent me a Private Message on Ebay, asking for me to pay him extra money
so i refused
because I have already paid the full amount with paypal!
a few hours ago, i noticed that the seller has shut down his shop
he has also removed all his listings
oh my lord.....is he trying to get away?
my concern:
(1) he's going to the bank right now to withdraw the money i paid him, what should i do to stop that?
(2) should i open a case on paypal RIGHT NOW? will that stop him from withdrawing the money?
Please help me, i beg of you!

The seller has not shut down his/her shop.
The listings have all expired and they haven't listed any new ones yet.
I wouldn't start worrying for at least 3 weeks as the item is coming from the UK.

How much more money does the seller want?
I don't know how much a game set like that would weigh, but according to the Royal Mail price finder, a 200 gram small packet from the UK would cost £4.50 to send to Canada, or about C$7.25 at current exchange rates.

the seller asks for 135 pounds.

It sounds like the seller may have been hacked. Either that, or he's very sloppy.
You do NOT have to pay him and you WILL get your money back.
File for "Item not received" here;
http://res.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ResolutionCenter&cf=20
Escalate the case after 3 days or after the seller responds. Either the seller ships the item or ebay refunds you.
If the seller ships, do NOT close the case until you receive the item (The seller might send an empty box).
If you do get an empty box, come back here and post about it - you'll have to call ebay and get the case switched to "Item not as described"
But whatever happens, you'll get your money back unless you get the item.

He's going to the bank? At six in the morning UK time? On a Sunday?
How did you fund your payment? If you paid through your bank account it's going to be on hold for several days. Is that time up?
Did you pay by credit card? If so, then it's just a charge on your credit card account at the moment. You haven't actually spent money yet. That charge can be removed with a bit of work in most cases.
Or did you pay through a balance you hold on your PayPal account?

i paid using a creditcard attached to my PAYPAL account, and i paid the full amount as indicated by ebay during checkout. i paid everything right away in that instant.
so can the seller can go to the Bank on monday and withdraw the money and then get away with it?

Surplusdealsdude did an excellent job of explaining things in the post before my previous one.
No need to use a larger font, by the way. I may be getting to the stage where I need bifocals or progressives, but I can read regular font size just fine. 🙂

the seller has responded.
he simply says "ok"
i take it that means he will refund me
but of course, i'm not seeing any refund showing up on PAYPAL
what am i going to do? open an INR case against him?
please help!

i have waited for a good long while, looks like noone is going to tell me if he can withdraw paypal money from his bank or not,i've asked the same question 3 times because noone would address it, then only to get mocked at by the previous poster above me.
so as someone here already suggested, i'm just going to opened a paypal dispute against him for INR because there does not appear to be an option in paypal to open dispute for "seller requests addtional postage".
he probably withdrew all the money in his bank account already while i waited for an answer on this forum.

He/She cannot just walk into the bank and withdraw the money right after a sale.
They have to start a transfer of funds from paypal to their bank which normally
takes 2 or 3 business days.
You stated you paid by credit card through paypal so you are doubley protected
in case the sell don't ship your item and keeps your money.
It has only been 2 days since end of listing so take it easy and relax,
This seller has sold over 800 items so I doubt he/she is going to jepoedize their
account over a sale of about $10.00.

"he probably withdrew all the money in his bank account already while i waited for an answer on this forum."
Even if the seller already transferred the money from his PayPal account to his bank account (the process takes several days) and later withdrew the money from his bank account, it has nothing to do with you.
You are protected by eBay/PayPal protection policies and your credit card issuer since a credit card was used for payment.
There is no need to panic. Settlements for these problems generally take time - weeks, not hours, assuming there is a real problem.
As suggested earlier, follow eBay policy: http://pages.ebay.ca/help/buy/resolving-problems.html

"a few hours ago, i noticed that the seller has shut down his shop. he has also removed all his listings"
That assumption is incorrect. The seller had a dozen auction listings ending at the same time with only one being sold (yours). The seller did not close shop or close the account; the listings ended the normal way after seven days without a bid. A quick look at the feedback history shows a pattern of listing a group of items from time to time.
There is definitely no need to panic.

We haven't told you if the seller can withdraw money from his bank because IT DOESN'T MATTER.
ebay will refund you, if necessary from their own pocket.
If you keep waiting, you'll lose your chance at that, though.
File the case NOW.

It has only been 2 days since the auction ended and neither of those
days are classed as business days.

thanks for all the replies !
5 hours ago i opened a PAYPAL Item non received case against the seller as i was panicking and feelling down, i simply want paypal to freeze his account and i thought i should do whatever i can to make that happen.
the dispute case's current status has changed from "being reviewed by paypal" to "OPEN"
so i think that paypal is letting me keep the case open...

Do not & I stress, do not close the dispute unless you have received your refund or you have the item in your hands.
Some sellers know how to work the system & may talk you into closing the dispute with the promise of the item being shipped.
We have seen too many instances of that happening on the boards.
08-11-2013 04:22 PM
ok i will do just that. thank you very much for helping me!

It's unlikely that the case will freeze the seller's account, nor is it really any of your business if the account is frozen or not.
You will get the item or your money back. It's not your business to punish the seller or freeze his funds.
That's hat ebay and Paypal are here for, if necessary, so let them handle the situation.
