Hi, I am having a issue with a seller. I bought two items of him (using buy it now button and selecting a quanity of 2) however I only recieved one of the item. I messaged the seller about this and said I only bought one, then I emailed him the invoice to show that I did pay for two.
Then he blamed someone a the post office must have swiped one however the envelope he sent was cardboard and sealed (the seal was not broken and the envelope only conatined one of the item)
Now he is saying that I am lying and that he is threatening to leave negative feedback if I don't leave him alone and leave positive feedback for him.
I guess my question is what now? He clearly stated in a email that opening a claim case will be of no benefit to me and that ebay is on his side already. Obviously I have a very aggressive seller but I would like some advice before I do anything else

So at first he said you only purchased one, and then after showing proof, he's saying that it is not his fault? Something smells fishy.
He's lying to you, opening a case will be beneficial to you, and ebay is not completely on his/her side. He also can not leave you negative feedback, as sellers only have the ability to leave positive or no feedback.
I would open an "Item Not as Received" case until he/she either sends the second item, or refunds you for the second item. If that dosen't work, you can call ebay yourself to get more assistance.
After everything is resolved you have the ability to leave appropriate feedback and DSR ratings to show your satisfaction.
In my opinion. the seller only shipped one item and is trying to get some free $$$ out of you.
