Resolution Center notification 45 day limit

What happened to the Resolution Center notification that the 45 day limit to open a case for a purchased item is approaching?

I think that what you are thinking of was a Leave Feedback email prompt. Either that or it was noted in your Leave Feedback section on My eBay. Or in your Purchase History or Order Details. At times, it seems to me that ebay sends a lot of automated messages and it may have been overlooked. Did you miss a deadline?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, on the Purchase Hstory page eBay used to advise us that the last day to raise a problem with the Resolution Center is xxx. I no longer get the advisory. Many deliveries from China are taking exceedingly long and now I have to count the 45 days from the sale date to make sure I don't miss it.

If you pay for anything using PayPal, PayPal now has a 180 day claim period for Items Not Received or Significantly not as Described. This came into effect November 18, 2014.

While this change will not help any issues from before this date, remember this if an item purchased after this date arrives late or not at all. You should make the claim in eBay within the time period there (30 days after latest estimated date if there is a date or 45 days after purchase date).

The PayPal time period will help if you forget to claim on eBay in time.

Poco although the announcement board says that the 180 days comes into effect on Nov 18, I think that date is valid for U.S. Paypal accounts only. When I look at the Paypal Canada updates, it says that this change is effective Jan 7th.

I was going to ask the reps about that at the board weekly hour.

I knew about the Jan 7 for eBay.ca but forgot. Pierre also corrected me in another reply in another topic.

Hard to remember these things with two sites being out of sync for changes by a few weeks or months for eBay.ca.

That is what is good about the forums, corrections will be posted quickly if misinformation is posted. Helps the poster  and replies and the community stay on top of things in the ever changing eBay landscape.
