Hi, I am wondering if there is some way to eliminate a specific sellers items from appearing in my searches? I have browsed the same category for electronic items for years and purchased many items. Awhile back a seller listed over 10 thousand of the same type of item in that category. An item that most hobbyists wouldn't even be interested in. This has pretty much eliminated most hobbyists I know fgrom browsing that category at all because of the huge waste of time involved sorting through these 10,000 items.I believe saturating the category like this has had quite a negative effect on sales as well as prices. This isn't good for anybody I'm sure. Can I somehow have his items not shown or blocked from appearing in my searches. Thanks for any help.

Can I somehow have his items not shown or blocked from appearing in my searches.
If the seller is outside Canada and the US, try filtering the results at the first screen to include only items from North America (find the small box at bottom left of the screen and check it).
If this is a case where a seller is listing a lot of identical items, it might be worth bringing it to eBay's attention -- go through Customer Support to get a toll-free phone #.
Hopefully one of these suggestions may help. EBay has policies in place to limit category flooding with multiple identical items, but the problem still exists.

"kenm" -- here's the relevant eBay policy on duplicate listings if you want to review it:

On eBay.ca
click on Seller in left navigation column.
Then immediately under Seller... click on Specify Seller.
and then in this box click on .....Only show items from..
Show Exclude and then name the seller..
click on Go and that seller's listings will not show.
on eBay.com
This seller exclusion option is under Special Attributes in the left navigation column.... You do have to get to a level where this option .... Special Attributes will show....

The easy solution is to click on "Advanced" - next to the Search box on top of the page.
It allows you to include or exclude any seller.

If this Advanced option is set to exclude a specific seller
Is it always excluding this seller's listings from a search?
or
Does this have to be reset with each new search?
If it is always doing its job then it will be the best way to block a specific seller's listings from being seen in a search ....
Seller exclusions from the left navigation area are specific to a search and must be reset with each new search

You can save an advanced search which exclude a specific seller and it will always maintain the same criteria.
For example, I set up an advanced search for "Christmas 1970 pairs" excluding myself:
I can use the same search whenever I want.

Well I'm glad I asked. I did see the "Only From" selection under the advanced tab but didn't realize that there was also an "exclude" option. Works like a charm ! Now I can get back to my bargain hunting. Thanks so much for the responses & good info ... appreciate you taking the time.
